Make an appointment
Before making an appointment
We suggest that you contact us regarding your particular notarisation requirements and when possible that you send us either by fax, email or courier information as to the nature of the notarial act, documentation to be notarised and supporting documentation.
Once we have discussed your requirements, we are then in a position to provide you with our Client Care letter setting out the likely costs involved and our terms of engagement.
Please ensure that for simple matters you allow at least 30 minutes for the appointment and longer for more complex transactions.
What we need from you
Private clients: Proof of identity and residence
You would need to provide us with current signed passport or National Identity Card, and one other item showing your current residential address such as photocard driving licence or recent utility bill (less than 3 months old).
If you are executing a document on behalf of a third party: Proof of identity, residence, authority and capacity.
In addition to the above, you would need to provide evidence of your authority to act on their behalf i.e Power of Attorney or minutes of a director's meeting, and evidence of its capacity by reference to its Memorandum and Articles of Association or equivalent documents.
Commercial clients: Proof of identity, residence, authority and capacity
If you are executing documents as an officer of a company, either as a Director or Secretary, you are required to provide evidence of your authority to act. I shall be satisfied of your status by carrying out a search at Companies House, or by you providing a copy of the company's statutory books and of the latest filed annual return or in the case of partnerships an up to date certified copy of partnership agreement.
Please note that in addition to the evidence of identification as detailed above, you may also be required to produce a different type of identification as provided by the receiving jurisdiction or stipulated in the documentation to be authenticated.
Established Clients:
Once we have established the relevant identities and authorities and put in place security procedures, we could, when the presence of a Notary is not required, deal with your business documentation without the need for your personal attendance.
When and where to hold the appointment
We meet clients at our office or at their premises by prior appointment between 9am and 7:30pm Monday to Friday.
